Physical Education Department

The purpose of the Physical Education Program at Rim of the World High School is to provide a well-rounded program of activities that will aid in the development and maintenance of physical fitness, individual skills, physical and mental health.  This is accomplished by offering a variety of physical experiences including individual, dual, and team sport exercise.  Each of the activities is aimed at the overall development for the young person, now and in the future, through sports and activities with carryover potential for lifetime fitness.

In the spring, all students in physical education at Rim of the World Senior High School will take the state mandated physical fitness test.  This year, the test will take place the last two weeks of March.  9th grade students that pass this test are only required to take one additional year of physical education to meet graduation requirements.
