NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Governing Board of Trustees of the Rim of the World Unified School District will have a Board Meeting on Thursday, September 18, 2025, to conduct a Public Hearing to determine the availability of textbooks, to certify that each pupil in the district has, or will have within eight weeks of the beginning of the school year, sufficient textbooks or instructional materials, or both, in each subject and that are consistent with the content and cycles of the curriculum framework adopted by the State Board as pursuant to Education Code 60119, in accordance with provisions of the Williams settlement.

Date of Public Hearing: September 18, 2025
Time: 5:30 p.m.
Place: Lake Gregory Education Center/District Office and YouTube (link will be
included on the agenda)

Interact Club will be meeting this Friday, September 5th, in Room 203, Ms. Bennett's room.  The meeting will be during lunch (11:31-12:01).  Everyone is welcome!  Interact Club is a service club affiliated with the Rotary Club.  There are many opportunities to volunteer and become involved in your community through the club.  It is a good way to get the volunteer hours you need for graduation and in the process learn leadership skills and have lots of fun with other members.  Hope to see you Friday!  

Homecoming is coming! Homecoming nominations for court are open.  Find the QR code posted around the school to nominate your choice student.  You may only nominate students from your grade.  Nominations close 9/12.

HoCo tickets are now on sale in the ASB office.  This year's theme is a Fairytale. Homecoming is on Saturday 9/27 at the San Moritz Lodge in Crestline from 7pm-10pm.  Tickets are $40 pp or $45 without an ASB card.  Ticket prices go up to $45 w/asb and $50 w/out on Sept 22nd.

 

The National Honor Society applications have opened! NHS is a student organization that is dedicated to encouraging leadership and academic excellence through helping our community. If you wish to apply, find and scan one of the QR codes posted throughout the school and pick up a student review sheet from Mr. Lara in room 204. Applications are due September 5th, so hurry and don’t be late to this awesome opportunity. 

Yearbooks are now on sale in the ASB office or online at Jostens.com. Yearbooks are $90 with the purchase of ASB or $95 without. Personalization (online only) is $10. Prices expire 9/15
