NCAA Website

Attention Rim of the World High School students who are planning on participating in college athletics:

Be sure you are registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
Students – Please complete the Transcript Release Form (PDF) and turn into your counselor in the Counseling Office. Your counselor will mail an official transcript to the NCAA for you.

**You are now registered with the NCAA and the school may release your transcripts per requests from collegiate coaches.

At the end of Senior Year: Be on the lookout for NCAA requests.

Be sure you send an official transcript to NCAA by requesting a transcript through RHS counseling department and choosing the NCAA Eligibility Center as the destination
Send your official SAT and ACT scores from the testing agencies (College Board/SAT) and (ACT) to the NCAA Eligibility Center.

The NCAA Organization

The National Collegiate Athletic Association serves as the athletics governing body for more than 1,280 colleges, universities, conferences and organizations.

The NCAA has three divisions

Division I and II offer scholarships
Division III is non-scholarship

NCAA Eligibility Center

Certifies the academic and amateur credentials of all college-bound student-athletes who wish to compete in NCAA Division I or II athletics. NCAA Eligibility Center.

NCAA Clearing House

Only for NCAA Divisions I and II:

Student must register directly, preferably at the start of Junior year.
Student must send an official high school transcript at the completion of their Junior year.
Clearing House Approves High Schools’ core courses annually.
Clearing House Verifies: High School Graduation, Core Courses, ACT/SAT sum scores, GPA .
Clearing House Determines if you can practice, play or receive an athletic scholarship.
Clearing House Determines amateur status.
