We’re excited to welcome our returning and new students and families to the 2025–26 school year! I hope all our staff and families had time over the summer to rest, recharge, and reconnect.

Before we look ahead, it’s important to reflect on the challenges and successes of recent years. Despite last year’s fire-related and wind-related closures, we had an incredibly successful accreditation visit in March. This visit validated the dedication of our staff and the intentional work being done to help every student succeed. It affirmed that our PLCs (teacher department teams) are actively strengthening curriculum, creating meaningful benchmarks, and developing common assessments. It also highlighted the strength of our students and the unwavering support of our community.

Our people and programs continue to be the heart of RHS. We carry ourselves into this school year with pride in who we are and what we stand for.

Our mission remains the same: to prepare students to be college, career, and community ready through P.R.I.D.E.—being Positive, Ready, Involved, Determined, and Excellent. We do this by focusing on strong relationships, rigorous academics, and impactful experiences that help students grow. Students learn through doing, and Rim understands the lasting impact of those experiences. As our accreditation confirmed, we offer more opportunities than many schools twice our size—thanks to the hard work of our staff, district, and community.

But experiences must be both offered and pursued. My vision for RHS is a campus grounded in accountability and connection—a place where every student belongs, is challenged, and is supported to grow into someone we can all be proud of. A place where high standards meet meaningful friendships and exciting new opportunities.

To help foster this, I ask our families: What will your child be involved in this school year? I truly believe RHS would be transformed if every student participated in at least one club, sport, or extracurricular activity. Connection builds character—and it starts with involvement.

As I begin my fourth year at Rim High School, I’m honored to serve as your new principal. I’m excited to keep building the experiences that make RHS such an exceptional school in an extraordinary community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns as we work together to make Rim a place of PRIDE.
