Graduation and Senior Activity Information for the Class of 2026

GRADUATION is Thursday, June 11, 2026, 5:00 PM

 

As the end of the school year is in sight, we would like to remind you that all Seniors need to be in good standing as determined by the Senior Contract to participate in activities and Graduation.  The following information will help you in planning as the end-of-the-year activities begin and will lead to a positive experience for everyone. 

 

In order to provide a more detailed description of each event, please refer to the information below:

 

  • Prom – May 16: Victoria Country Club, 2521 Arroyo Drive, Riverside, CA 92506 

6:30 – 10:00 PM. Permission slips and ticket sales will be available in the ASB Office. Last day to purchase a ticket is May 13th.

 

  • Senior Scholarship Night May 19: Seniors who filled out a Community Scholarship application and are being awarded a scholarship will receive an invite to attend. The program will be presented in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) and starts at 6:00 PM. Invited students need to check in by 5:45 PM.

 

  • Senior GradNite at Disneyland – May 21:  Seniors check in at 12:45 PM in the front parking lot of the high school and return at approximately 5:00 AM the following morning.  All belongings will be checked before boarding the bus.  Students must show their school photo ID to get on the bus.  Students must adhere to the Disneyland dress code, rules, and standards, which you can find on our school website – click here for rules. Disneyland will allow sealed outside food or beverages in, and all students will be subject to a search per Disneyland. Nothing may be left on the bus. If you are leaving a vehicle at Rim High School overnight, we recommend parking in the 100 lot. 

 

  • Senior Assembly- May 29: Between 5th and 6th period.  Yearbook will be taking photos of seniors starting early May for the Futures slideshow shown during the senior assembly.  Please make sure you fill out the google form by April 30th.

 

  • Senior BBQ – May 29: Rim High Cafeteria from 2:15 – 4:00 pm.  Free for all Seniors. Seniors will be able to pick up their yearbook at the BBQ as well as their cap and gowns.  Seniors can enjoy lunch and a yearbook signing party with all their friends. 

 

  • Graduation Caps/Gowns - May 29: during the Senior BBQ in the cafeteria from 2:15-4:00. If you have not purchased a Graduation Cap and Gown, this will be your opportunity to purchase one. The cost will be $45.00 CASH ONLY. If you cannot attend the BBQ you may purchase one in ASB the following school day.

 

  • Graduation Cap decorating: All school rules apply and caps not following these rules will not be permitted. Caps may not have anything that relates in any way to drinking, drugs, sex, or any other inappropriate material.  Inside jokes and abbreviations will not be allowed.  They also must not contain any 3D objects sticking up or out past the hat. Small jewels and flowers are okay, but solo cups are not. Items cannot stick up farther than 1/2". Caps MUST be fully decorated and turned in on the day of Grad Practice to Ms. Mazochia and Mrs. Cobb for approval.  NO decorated caps will be allowed into the PAC the day of graduation.  If your cap was not pre-approved and turned in ahead of time, it will be taken away and you will not get a cap for graduation. If you put anything inappropriate on your hat, it will be taken away and not replaced.  Your cap will be given back to you on the day of graduation after you have checked in if it meets the criteria.  If your cap is taken away for any reason Rim High School is not responsible.

 

  • Yearbook Distribution – May 29: at Senior BBQ. If you have not purchased a yearbook you may do so on this day.  The cost will be $100.00 CASH ONLY and will be on a first come first serve basis. Seniors who do not attend the BBQ can pick up their yearbooks on June 2nd, during lunch.

 

  • Senior Clearance Day – June 9Starting the week of June 1st, Seniors can start turning in Chromebooks/charger/case and textbooks, during nutrition and lunch. All textbooks/chromebooks must be turned in and any fees/fines must be taken care of by the end of the school day June 9th. Failure to return equipment, or pay fees, by the last day of school will result in not receiving a diploma at graduation. 

 

  • Senior Finals – June 5: (periods 3 & 4), June 8 (periods 5 & 6), and June 9 (periods 1 & 2) :   We will be on regular bell schedule during senior finals. Seniors must attend all periods on these days.  Seniors last day of school is Tuesday June 9th.

 

  • Senior Walk – June 9:. Seniors who turned in a permission slip to participate will head to the front parking lot of Rim High at 9:25am where they will board a bus that will take them to the elementary school they chose to visit.  The Senior Walk involves graduating seniors walking the halls of their former elementary school while wearing their graduation cap and gown. In honoring graduates, elementary students, teachers, and staff will line the halls of the school as the high school students walk through the campus. 

Seniors must be in good standing to graduate and have their graduation cap and gown to participate in the Senior Walk.  Return time to RHS is approximately 1:00 pm. 

 

  • Grad Photos- June 5: Seniors and their families can ride lift 1 to the top of Snow Valley for a commemorative photo.  Seniors will need their cap and gown for access to the lift.  Grad photos will take place at the top of lift 1 from 3:00-6:00 pm shot by advisor and teacher Mrs. Cobb, and delivered through a digital link.  Each grad can bring up to 5 people with them.  All members riding the lift must wear closed-toed shoes. All participants can go directly to the bottom of Chair 1 and must let the lift attendants know they are part of the graduate photos to be allowed on the chair.  No tickets or waivers needed.

 

  • Graduation Practice – June 10:  Seniors meet in the PAC at 12:00 pm.  Seniors must attend graduation practice in order to participate in graduation.

 

  • Graduation Tickets – June 10:  After graduation practice, graduating seniors will receive eight graduation tickets.  You can request up to ten  more tickets by emailing a request to Stephanie Phillips at Rim High School: stephanie_phillips@rimsd.k12.ca.us (there is an underscore (  _  ) between the first and last name).  Be sure to put the student’s name and how many more tickets you need.  Ticket requests must be received no later than May 29th to accommodate your request. 

 

  • Graduation – June 11:  The Graduation ceremony begins at 5:00 pm and usually runs approximately one and a half hours.  Seniors need to be in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) by 3:30 pm.  Dress code for graduating seniors is semi-formal attire.  Seniors are to carry their cap and gown into the PAC (please remove all hangers and plastic wrap prior to entering the PAC).  Gates will open at 3:30 pm for ticket holders to enter the campus and head to the football stadium- please no saving of seats.  Refreshments will be available and for sale during graduation.  Graduation will be live streamed here.

 

  • Parking for Graduation – June 11:  On the day of graduation, all parking lots will open at 3:00. 

The 100-parking lot (main parking lot in front of the school) is reserved for graduating seniors.  Seniors will be allowed to park in this lot by showing their graduation gown along with a special parking pass, which will be in their envelope with graduation tickets.  Family members may ride in the car with the graduating senior. Once the 100-lot is full, all other vehicles must park in the Lake Arrowhead Village parking structure and use the shuttle service, which begins at 3:15 pm and picks up in front of the Bank of America building. All other visitors will park in the designated parking area in the Lake Arrowhead Village parking structure and use the shuttle service. The shuttle service will begin at 3:15 pm and continue until the conclusion of the graduation ceremony. The 300-parking lot (located at the back of the school by the football field) will be designated for handicapped parking only.  In order to access handicapped parking, you will be required to show your state-issued handicapped parking placard.  

 

  • Graduation Diploma – After the graduation ceremony, graduating students may pick up diplomas in the Rim High School cafeteria. Students must have returned all textbooks and not be credit deficient in order to collect their diplomas. In addition, Diplomas may be picked up Friday, June 12, through Thursday June 18th in the Counseling Office from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. 

 

  • Transcripts:  Seniors can start ordering year-end transcripts from Mrs. Donahue in the Counseling Office.  Bring the name and address of the college where the transcripts are to be mailed.  There is a $5 fee for each transcript after two copies.  All fees and fines must be paid before transcripts will be sent.  Transcripts will be mailed by Monday June, 22nd.
