NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Governing Board of Trustees of the Rim of the World Unified School District will have a Board Meeting on Thursday, September 18, 2025, to conduct a Public Hearing to determine the availability of textbooks, to certify that each pupil in the district has, or will have within eight weeks of the beginning of the school year, sufficient textbooks or instructional materials, or both, in each subject and that are consistent with the content and cycles of the curriculum framework adopted by the State Board as pursuant to Education Code 60119, in accordance with provisions of the Williams settlement.

Date of Public Hearing: September 18, 2025
Time: 5:30 p.m.
Place: Lake Gregory Education Center/District Office and YouTube (link will be
included on the agenda)

Celebrate with us at the Spanish Club’s Cultural Day this Friday during lunch! Enjoy FREE traditional snacks  (first come, first served), dance along to Latin American music, and more surprises to come. Don’t forget to show your spirit by dressing in Latin American colors, soccer jerseys, or festive attire. We can’t wait to see you there!

 

Make Up picture day is Weds Sept 24th from 7:30-12:30 in the library.  If you missed your photo please go in and get your photo taken.

 

Seniors- did you miss your formal portrait for the yearbook? Senior Picture make-ups are Sept 30th- Oct 2nd from 3:00-8pm.  Visit schoolhousephoto.com to schedule.  Everyone must get their formal portrait to have their photo in the yearbook.

 

Success starts by showing up on time.  To help with this habit, students get ready because back by popular demand -- TARDY SWEEPs!!   When you hear the music, shuffle, skip, saunter, or salsa your way into class before the bell.  Classroom doors lock at the bell and you'll need a tardy slip from either the Attendance office or the AP office to be admitted into class.  If you get swept into a 2nd Tardy Sweep, then you earn a lunch detention in room 201.  To keep it fair, this will start tomorrow, Wednesday.  Bring your dancing shoes.  Thank You All.

HoCo tickets are now on sale in the ASB office.  This year's theme is a Fairytale. Homecoming is on Saturday 9/27 at the San Moritz Lodge in Crestline from 7pm-10pm.  Tickets are $40 pp or $45 without an ASB card.  Ticket prices go up to $45 w/asb and $50 w/out on Sept 22nd.
