Dear Parents, Students, & Staff, As we approach the final stretch of the school year, I want to emphasize something that remains as important now as it was in September:  Attendance Matters!!  With only 8 weeks left, every school day counts more than ever.  These last weeks are filled with crucial academic experiences,  including CAASP testing, final projects, classroom learning, and enriching activities that prepare our students not only for a strong finish but also for a confident start to the new school year. When students are present, they can fully participate, engage with their peers and teachers, and take ownership of their academic growth. Every missed day is a missed opportunity to build knowledge,  develop skills, and celebrate the year’s accomplishments.
We understand that spring brings excitement, plans, and sometimes fatigue. We encourage all our families to help their student(s) stay focused, present, and committed. Your partnership makes a tremendous difference in helping our  students thrive. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to your child’s education. Together, we can finish this year strong and build even greater momentum for what’s ahead.

ROWUSD is the community hub where students, families, teachers, staff, and local partners work hand-in-hand to create opportunities, address challenges, and support the whole child.  ROWUSD is a Community School focused on the belief that we are “stronger together”-where our families, community organizations, businesses, and schools come together to provide the resources & support every student needs to learn, grow, & succeed. How Can We Work Together...
Creating a thriving school community takes ALL of us working together by uniting our strengths. Together, we can build a supportive environment where every child feels empowered to succeed. Here are four key ways we can come together to make a meaningful impact!  1) Community Partnerships 2) Family Engagement
3) Shared Resources 4) Student Voice & Leadership At ROWUSD, we will continue to aim higher-supporting our resilient, empowered students, engaging our families, and strengthening a connected community. We remain committed to ensuring every student feels safe, seen, and supported! Together, we’re building schools that are not only centers of learning, but pillars of community strength & growth. Page Thirty-Three: News & Fun Facts-“April Showers Bring May Flowers” The earliest use of this phrase can be traced back to English Poetry  In the 16th Century The first author, Thomas Tusser, in 1557 wrote: “wet April showers/Do spring May Flowers” Like many proverbs in folk wisdom, the phrase is based on observational knowledge and oral tradition, especially among farmers and gardeners who noticed a seasonal pattern in England’s climate. April showers=Rainy Days In April, we often get lots of rainy days-All the rain helps plants wake up from winter and start to grow. By the time May comes around, we start seeing flowers blooming, trees getting green, and gardens popping with color. This phrase it often used in motivational quotes, reminding people to push through difficulties:“Without the rain, there would be no rainbow...or May flowers”
