Time: 5:30 p.m. Place: Rim of the World Unified School District Office. 24740 San Moritz Way, Crestline, CA 92325

Page: From ROWUSD Superintendent, Dr. Paul Sevillano A Message from the Superintendent: Dear ROWUSD Students, Families, Staff, and Community Members,
As we monitor forecasted inclement weather conditions, the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families remain our highest priority. In the event that  weather conditions require school closures, we are committed to ensuring continuity of learning opportunities.  The district will closely monitor weather conditions and provide timely notifications to families regarding any school disruptions.
Our Director of Education, Jennifer Whiteside, shares:
“All ROWUSD students have district-issued Google accounts that provide access to the Google Suite, i-Ready, supplemental learning resources, and our Board-adopted core instructional materials in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and History–Social Science. Your student’s username is their district-issued email address: firstname.lastname@rimsd.k12.ca.us. If you need assistance with access, please contact your school site directly.
For students in grades K–8, i-Ready is a valuable learning resource during school closures. Through the i-Ready Learning Path (My Path), instruction is personalized based on each student’s most recent diagnostic results, providing targeted lessons aligned to their individual strengths and areas for growth in reading and mathematics. Consistent use of i-Ready during closure days helps reinforce essential skills, prevent learning loss, and support accelerated progress where needed. Students may work through their assigned lessons at their own pace, making it a flexible and meaningful way to continue learning at home.
For students in grades 9–12, families may log in to the AERIES Parent Portal to review current grades and identify any missing assignments that students may complete during closure days. This provides an opportunity for students to stay current and take ownership of their progress toward course completion and graduation requirements.
Students at RVA may choose to continue working on missing assignments or to prepare for upcoming tests and projects in Edgenuity.”

We appreciate your partnership and flexibility as we prioritize both safety and academic progress,
Please continue to monitor district communication for updates.

Page: Leadership That Makes a Difference-The Coordinator of RIM’s ELOP Program, Kaylee Bunyea, leads a dedicated team of 21 ELOP aides who work together to create a program students will never forget. Under Kaylee’s leadership, the ELOP program has grown into an exceptional learning environment where students grow academically, engage in hands-on activities, build strong friendships, develop confidence, and discover new things. Behind the scenes at the District Office, Kaylee works diligently to ensure the program continues to thrive.  She plans engaging activities, develops the summer program, and seeks innovative ways to expand student learning. Kaylee regularly brainstorms with her staff to generate fresh, creative ideas that promote meaningful, engaging learning experiences. Kaylee visits campuses daily, offering hands-on support and working side by side with her team. Her staff greatly respects her leadership and collaborates seamlessly to create a structured and positive learning environment for students. She also ensures the program runs smoothly by ordering necessary supplies and nutritious snacks to keep students energized and focused. Through regular Zoom meetings and on-campus visits with her entire team, Kaylee maintains consistency, strong communication, and high-quality programming across all sites.
A Team Committed to Student Success-Together, Rim’s  ELOP aides play a vital role in delivering academic support, STEM exploration, art and music enrichment, social and emotional development, and physical fitness activities. Together, the ELOP team creates a safe and welcoming space where students have fun while learning!
A Summer of Opportunity-RIM’s ELOP Summer Program has been a tremendous success, offering students continued academic support and enrichment throughout the summer months. The team is already planning for the 2026 ELOP Summer Program, which will be held at CHE and VOE.
The Summer program will run from June 17th to July 28th, from 8 am to 5 pm. This upcoming summer program promises a season filled with learning, creativity, friendship, fun, and growth.
